Sessions & Fees

Assessment / Initial Counselling Session

The aim of the initial session is to find what will be the focus for future counselling sessions to maximise the benefit of them.  We will look at what the main  issues are and what we will be able to work with.  Sometimes at this stage a referral to another more appropriate organisation may be needed.  If the counsellor is known to the client they can be referred to a different counsellor.

During the initial session the exceptions to confidentiality will be fully explained to you.

Ongoing Counselling Sessions

Will be arranged as necessary and these will last for 50 minutes per session.

Fees for Adults - counselling 

£40 Assessment / ongoing sessions

(In exceptional circumstances a reduced fee may be agreed)

£40 Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP)

£50 Integral eye movement sessions (IEMT) - usually only one or two sessions needed.

£185  Workplace mediation service 

Fees for Young people - counselling 

Under 16 years 

£30 Assessment / ongoing sessions

16 years and above

£30 Assessment /  ongoing sessions 

Professional Supervision 
£60 for 1.5 hours ( BACP requirement)

£40 for 1 hour ( trainee rate )

£55 for 1.5 hours ( trainee rate )

** Welton Counselling Practice gives a percentage per month to the Welton & Dunholme Methodist Chapel development fund.
